5 ALMOST Amazing Disney World Rides

While we usually focus on the the very best and worst rides at Walt Disney World, there are some attractions that are almost awesome. With a few tweaks, these 5 attractions can be considered truly great rides for guests of all ages.

This ride has a beautiful theme that centers itself around illegal logging and deforestation, but all of that gets lost in a ride that is much too short and lacks thrills. There is one big drop, but other than that, this attraction simply doesn't stack up against some of the other incredible raft rides you can experience in Orlando. Lengthen the ride and include more scenes that further communicate the conservation message and you got an instant hit.

The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh

While this attraction is great for young children, it lacks the magic that so many other dark rides deliver. Refurbishing this attraction to replicate Pooh's Hunny Hunt located at Disneyland Tokyo would be the just the change this ride needs to draw in big crowds. The trackless ride technology and the special effects would revitalize the Fantasyland attraction and bring another big ride that can compete with the popularity of Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.

Frozen Ever After

I really enjoy this attraction, but it does have some problems. The animatronics are great, and the music is iconic. However, there are some dead spaces within the ride, particularly during the backwards section as Elsa sings Let It Go. The overall storytelling is weak -- you can tell that Imagineers were relying on the IP to sell the ride (and it does). Rewriting the story and filling in the (obviously) blank patches in the ride will make this attraction one guests will want to ride again and again.

This attraction is pure eye candy. It's stunningly beautiful and features one of the most advanced animatronics Disney has every created. There's just two problems...no one really knows what is happening, and the ride is too short. This ride lacks a story--one that is clearly communicated to guests. Creating a story that riders can follow will allow this attraction to feel more worthwhile, especially if there is a long wait. Lengthen the ride and clarify the story, and guests will flock to this dark boat ride.

This attraction is incredible....if you sit in Concourse B (the middle hang gliders). Any other seat in the theater will lead to warped scenes. Everyone should have an amazing experience in an E-ticket attraction, no matter where guests sit. In addition to seating problems, some of the CGI is cringe worthy. Removed the curved Eiffel Tower and incorporate more realistic computer-generated scenes and this attraction will be one of the best in EPCOT.

Happy riding!
